ICC Arrest Warrants Explained: Israel Gaza Edition

Blackmail, International Reaction, and Explanations.

If you’re under 40, you probably never heard of the ICC before the Israel and Gaza war. The International Criminal Court (ICC) is the highest court in the world that tries world leaders for crimes such as crimes against humanity, genocide, starvation, and other war crimes. Recently the ICC has gained the spotlight because prosecutor Karim Khan is pursuing Israeli leaders for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Gaza since at least October 8, 2023.

Why is This a Historic Ruling?

In the past the ICC has tried and convicted only African, Russian, or Arab leader Gaddafi. Not a single trial has been brought to court against one of the western nations or western allies, despite multiple allegations of war crimes.

Court was "built for Africa and for thugs like Putin," and not for the West and its allies.

The International Criminal Court’s (ICC) prosecutor said he received threats while conducting investigations against top Israeli officials with a senior figure telling him the court was "built for Africa and for thugs like Putin," and not for the West and its allies.

In an interview with CNN, Karim Khan said: "I've had some elected leaders speak to me and they were very blunt. 'This court is built for Africa and for thugs like Putin,' was what one senior leader told me."

"We don't do it like that," he said, adding: "This court should be the triumph of law, over power and brute force: grab what you can take what you want, do what you will."

After a six month long wait, the ICC finally issued arrest warrants against Netanyahu, Gallant, and Deif (a Hamas leader who is believed to be dead). The ICC also issued arrest warrants for other Hamas leaders such as Yahya Sinwar, but Israel assassinated them earlier this year, rendering a trial impossible.

Far Media Analysis Video

We put together a mini explainer and analysis of the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrants issued by prosecutor Karim Khan against Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yaov Gallant for crimes against humanity, war crimes, and starvation.

Far Media analyst Ms. Zahur explains the meaning behind the warrants, Israeli reaction, US reaction, international reaction, and the mind blowing truth about who helped Karim Khan investigate these crimes — something that western media outlets do not bring attention to.

The charges against Netanyahu and Gallant are causing extermination, using starvation as a method of war by denying humanitarian relief supplies, and deliberately targeting civilians in conflict. The video above shows proof confirming some of these allegations, such as Gallant banning the entry of food and water into Gaza.
